Firm’s Philosophy and Mission Statement
I know from my years of helping accident victims that the people of Central PA are honest, hard-working people who just want to be treated fairly.
While I have helped many people who have suffered severe injuries, I believe that even if you suffered an injury that isn’t severe or catastrophic, you still deserve a fair result and effective representation. That is what we are here for. Even a seemingly small injury can have a huge impact on your life.
Unlike some law firms, we never represent insurance companies. We only represent accident victims. The majority of our clients have come to us via referrals from other attorneys and former clients.
At my office I’ll work with you one-to-one on your case. I’ll give your case the attention it needs to get the results you deserve.
Initial consultations at our office are always free. If you have been injured, call our office today for your free consult and find out why the vast majority of our clients come to us by referral. We’ll work hard to get you what you deserve.
About Bill Pelhan
I attended Clarion University, earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and the University of Colorado, where I earned a Masters Degree in Economics, before earning my J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. I began practicing law in central Pennsylvania in 1981, and narrowed the scope of my practice to focusing exclusively on personal injury cases in 1988.
My office is located in Lancaster, PA, but I have helped clients throughout the central and eastern areas of Pennsylvania. In one of my most successful cases, I was one of the first Pennsylvania attorneys to use the theory of product liability to bring a personal injury claim against a homebuilder because of unsafe, though generally accepted, building practices that resulted in a child suffering severe injuries. I have also handled a wide range of other product liability cases, many of them against large corporations such as Ford New Holland, Penske, Hobert, and others. Additionally, I have handled a large number of auto / motor vehicle accident cases. Currently, I am admitted to practice law before Pennsylvania courts at the state and federal levels, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
In addition to my work in the law, I have been an active, engaged member of the Lancaster community, regularly supporting Lancaster public safety programs, including the City Police K-9 and Mounted Patrol programs. I have also been involved in supporting education, establishing a memorial scholarship fund at a local high school, and supporting student athlete programs. Additionally, I have served on the board of directors of the Quarryville Lion’s Club and the Lancaster Council of Churches, and am currently serving on the Lancaster YMCA Board of Managers.
In my free time, I enjoy biking, sailing, fishing, and spending time with my family. My wife, Wendy, works as a physical therapist at Lancaster General Health. My youngest son is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and now works as a computer science engineer for Adobe, while my oldest son is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon and LSU and currently teaches.
