Types of Motorcycle Accidents

Most of the time an accident involving a motorcyclist is not the fault of the biker. Yet, the motorcyclist will often suffer serious injuries. Unfortunately, because of stereotypes, people are often quick to blame the motorcyclist for the accident.

If you or a loved one have been injured in a motorcycle accident, we’re here to help. Get the help you need during this difficult time by calling me at 717-392-6362.

Common Types of Motorcycle Accidents

Rear-End Collisions

Bikers are often struck from behind by automobiles and other vehicles. In many of these instances, the at-fault driver is simply not paying attention, going too fast for conditions, speeding, or otherwise distracted.

Left Turn Collisions

One of the most common types of accidents involving motorcycles happens when a motor vehicle makes a left-hand turn in front of the motorcyclist. Often times the driver of the at-fault vehicle will say that they simply failed to see the oncoming motorcycle. In many of these collisions the biker will be thrown onto or over the vehicle turning left.

Head-On Collisions

Many motorcycle accidents occur when another vehicle enters the lane of the motorcyclist and strikes the motorcycle head-on. These collisions can be caused by the at-fault driver carelessly drifting into the lane of the motorcyclist, attempting to pass when it is obviously unsafe to do so, or by other careless action of the at-fault vehicle.

Drunk Driving Accidents

Unfortunately, many people will drive when they are unfit to do so because they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you have been injured by someone who is driving under the influence, get the compensation you deserve for your injuries.

I have been representing accident victims for over 25 years. Let me put my experience to work helping you get the compensation you deserve. Call me at 717-392-6362.
