On Thursday, December 12, the Consumer Safety Commission had announced that close to 9,000 units of Coby flat-screen TVs are being recalled following multiple incidents of the TV units flaring up or overheating.
Coby 32-inch flat screen TVs with model unit TFTV3229 and serial numbers starting with LG and with MO7 or M10 in the 9th to 11th position are being recalled due to ill-designed electronic component. Coby TV serial numbers can be found on the rear side of the TV unit.
The agency also informed all defective Coby TV purchasers that the TV units are being recalled through retailers, as Coby USA had already stopped its business operations in the country.
