Las Vegas performer killed in 50-foot fall

A Cirque du Soleil veteran acrobat performer was killed after she accidentally fell during a show in Las Vegas on June 29.

According to reports, 31-year-old Sarah Guillot-Guyard fell after the wire that was holding her 50 feet in the air snapped. The accident happened during the final battle scene in which most of the performers are suspended in the air with the use of wires.

A member of the audience said they thought the accident was part of the scene until they heard screaming and other members of Cirque du Soleil crying from the stage. Sarah, who was nicknamed “Sassoon,” had been performing as an acrobat for more than 22 years.

Guilot-Guyard was the mother of two kids.

The legal team at the Law Office of Bill Pelhan sends their sincere condolences to the family and friends who were affected by this tragic loss.
