Man charged with several offenses after car accident in Lower Nazareth Township

Posted on Monday, August 12th, 2013 at 12:53 pm

After crashing into another vehicle at an intersection in Pennsylvania’s Lower Nazareth Township last Thursday, 48-year-old Jeffrey Trucksess was later arrested for fleeing the scene of a car accident and driving with a suspended license. The Bethlehem Township resident was arrested after officers located his damaged Jeep Cherokee in his driveway.

At approximately 8 p.m. on July 29, Trucksess slammed into another vehicle from behind at the intersection of Newburg and Georgetown roads. The impact caused the other vehicle to spin off the road, leaving the driver and passenger with minor injuries. Trucksess has been arraigned on counts of careless driving, driving with a suspended license, and driving a vehicle without insurance.

Police and residents of Lower Nazareth Township say the intersection’s four-way blinking light should be upgraded to a traffic signal to direct cars more safely.
