A woman from Mechanicsburg, Silver Spring Township in Pennsylvania is facing charges of vehicular homicide after allegedly running over her boyfriend while drunk on Monday, September 30.

Thirty-six-year-old Esther Brubaker was charged with felony homicide by vehicle, accidents involving death or personal injury, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter, DUI , and summary reckless driving by Magisterial District Judge Paula Correal on Tuesday, October 22.

A witness, former Lancaster City Police Department accident reconstruction officer Theodore Will Jr., said that he heard an argument between Brubaker and Jeremy Anderson right before he heard the sound of a car striking something.

Emergency medical responders weren’t able to revive Anderson, who was declared dead at the accident scene by Cumberland County coroner Charles Hall. The cause of death was blunt force trauma injuries as a result of getting hit by a vehicle.

Losing a loved one to a drunk driver is tragic and something our legal team at the Law Office of Bill Pelhan believes no one in Lancaster should have to go through alone.
